Summary: Delivers structured parenting education and coaching to support families involved in child welfare services.

  • Key Responsibilities​
    • Facilitate pre- and post-assessments to measure progress

    • Provide one-on-one parent coaching and support

    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and outcomes

    • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment

    • Collaborate with staff and participate in required meetings

    • Teach parenting classes using an approved curriculum

PARENT TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

LIFE SKILLS COACH

Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years of experience in child welfare OR an Associate degree.

Summary: Supports youth and families in building essential life skills to promote independence and stability.

​

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Teach and model daily living skills (communication, decision-making, routines)

    • Provide individualized coaching based on client needs

    • Assist clients in setting and achieving personal goals

    • Maintain documentation and progress notes

    • Collaborate with staff and service providers

    • Encourage positive behavior and self-sufficiency

THERAPIST

Requirements: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; licensed or license-eligible in Illinois

Summary: Provides trauma-informed therapeutic services to children and families involved in the child welfare system.

​

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide individual and family counseling services

    • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans

    • Prepare clinical documentation and court reports

    • Collaborate with DCFS, schools, and other providers

    • Attend court hearings, case staffings, and meetings as needed

    • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
